The Hardest Thing Ever Done

Nothing worth doing is easy

As I’m writing this, I completed Day 12 just over four hours ago.
It was another relaxed day, mostly because I spent the entire day outside.
I’ve only just come in now, and I barely have the energy left to write this journal before collapsing into bed.

The Weekend Test

Like I mentioned yesterday, today was a weekend, and I attended a party.
A party filled with beautiful women and alcohol.
Under normal circumstances, this is not a safe environment for someone on this journey.
But surprisingly, there wasn’t a single moment where I felt out of control or triggered in any meaningful way.

I did prepare mentally beforehand.
And I made sure to drink just enough to stay relatively sober.

Twelve days into this journey is far too early to risk getting tipsy or drunk.
Alcohol weakens the mind’s resistance, and while it might not cause me to slip in the moment, it could easily lead to dangerous thoughts later,

especially when I’m alone in quiet hours.

Signs of Adaptation

So far, my system seems to be adapting well to this new lifestyle.

My mind is beginning to associate the computer more with work and creation,

rather than pornography and masturbation.
If this continues, this will mark a major transformation,
one of the biggest milestones of this entire journey.

The rewiring is subtle, but it feels real.

Tomorrow’s Challenge

Tomorrow is another day where I’ll be home alone for several hours.
Which means the same rule applies:

  • Minimum time at home.
  • All major activities outside.
  • Return only once the house is no longer empty.

It’s a simple formula, but a highly effective one.

Until then,
I remain in the fight.
